This character wasn't simply an affluent individual hellbent on retribution; there was more bite to his character.

This thematic moulding of the plot intrigued me and rendered it much more engaging.

If "The Protector" seized your attention, "Her Protector" would certainly strike a chord with you. Personally, this book resonated more with me, given my fascination with the fantasy genre. It draws parallels with "The Protector" in its portrayal of a male lead who would go to any lengths to protect the woman he loves, but what adds spark to the narrative is the female lead not playing the conventional damsel-in-distress. The narrative of "Her Protector" revolves around Maxon and Nova, whose peaceful mating life is disrupted by a barrage of threatening letters and lifeless objects. The plot thickens with the threats hitting too close to home and Maxon's subsequent decision that irrevocably impacts his life. He solely knows he would walk through fire to ensure Nova's safety.
